ABOUT
Soul Trace Investigations was founded by Shea Cook, a Queensland private investigator with a genuine passion for uncovering information, connecting the pieces and helping people find clarity when circumstances feel uncertain or unresolved.
Shea's approach to investigations is thorough, analytical and people-focused. She has a particular interest in open-source intelligence (OSINT), locating individuals and skip tracing, evidence gathering, background research, and sensitive personal matters where discretion and careful fact-finding are essential.

Behind that investigative curiosity is an understanding that every case involves real people. Clients often reach out during stressful, confusing or deeply personal circumstances, and Shea believes good investigative work requires more than simply finding information — it requires knowing how to handle that information responsibly.

Before moving into investigations, Shea built an extensive professional background within the disability sector, including disability support and support coordination. This experience developed a strong foundation in working with sensitive information, navigating complex circumstances, communicating with individuals and families, and engaging with multiple services and stakeholders.
That background continues to shape Shea’s investigative approach today — particularly when working on sensitive matters involving vulnerable people, where careful communication, professional boundaries, discretion and respect are essential.

Shea holds a Certificate III in Investigative Services and continues to develop her knowledge across investigation, regulatory and legal environments. She is particularly passionate about matters involving family safety, domestic and family violence, child wellbeing and vulnerable people, while providing investigative services across a broader range of personal matters.
